HomeWhat we cater

What we cater in Milton Keynes

Weddings and mehndi, parties and birthdays, community and charity functions, tiffin and meal packs, and the bespoke events cart. All of it pure vegetarian, and none of it off a standing menu: every menu is built for the event in front of it, from your date, your numbers and what your family actually eats.

Weddings & Mehndi

A wedding is never one meal. There is the mehndi the night before, the morning of the ceremony, then a reception that runs long. We cook across the functions so the food holds together from the first plate to the last.

We have cooked mehndi nights, including a masquerade mehndi party, and wedding days. Menus are Gujarati and wider Indian, pure vegetarian throughout, and they are built with you: the dishes the elders will look for, and the ones the younger guests will actually eat.

Tell us which functions need covering, where they are being held and roughly how many are sitting down at each. That is where every wedding conversation starts.

One day, several sittings

Marigold flowers and a gold kalash arranged as wedding decoration. Long reception tables laid under a marquee with tall floral centrepieces.

Parties & Birthdays

Birthdays, house parties and the kind of evening where nobody sits down. We cook a proper four course meal when you want people at a table, and chaat shots and pani puri shots when you want something served in a glass and eaten on the move.

We have catered Bollywood boat parties for an organiser who keeps asking us back, which is the only test of party food that means anything.

The date, the numbers, and whether people are sitting or standing. That is enough for us to put a menu to you.

“K Kitchen Catering have provided the food for Bollywood boat parties we organise, and we invite them back repeatedly because their service and food has always been top quality. Delicious cuisine and super friendly too. Well recommended!”

Community & Charity Functions

Community events, and the charity work the founder singles out herself when she talks about this business. Cooking for a room is a different job from cooking for a table: it has to arrive hot, it has to hold, and it has to keep coming.

“… some amazing charity work for the local community.”

Krishna Sonecha, founder · in her own words

Tell us the hall, the timings and roughly how many are expected, and you will get an honest answer about what we can take on for that date.

Tiffin & Meal Packs

Not everything is an occasion. Alongside the event work we make vegetarian meal packs and tiffin, cooked in the same kitchen, by the same cook, to the same standard as a wedding.

Bulk orders are available too, so if you are feeding a full house rather than one sitting, say so when you get in touch. What goes in depends on what you need and what we are cooking, so it is worth asking rather than guessing.

We cannot always take on short notice, so the earlier you ask about the dates you want, the better.

A plate that does not need an occasion

The Bespoke Events Cart

The business calls it the Bespoke Events CART, and it is the thing people photograph. A cart, dressed and styled to your event, wheeled in and served straight to your guests.

There is no fixed cart menu. What goes on it is decided with you, one function at a time: tell us the occasion, the colours you are working to and roughly how many guests, and the cart is built around that.

Straight answer

We have not printed a list of what is on the cart, because there isn’t one. The photographs here show how a cart can be dressed, not a set lineup. Ask, and you will be told what is possible for your date.

From first message to the day itself

Step 01

Send the details

One message with the function, the date, the venue and a rough headcount is enough for us to say whether we are free.

Step 02

We shape the menu

We go through the courses, what your family eats, anything anyone cannot have, and how you want it served. Then you get a menu and a price for your event.

Step 03

The date is held

Once the menu is agreed and the booking is confirmed with us directly, the cooking is planned around your date. Anything you want changed, you change with Krishna directly.

Weekend dates in the wedding season are the first to go, so it is always worth asking early, even if the rest of the plan is not settled yet.
